Town market place reopens after 'serious' fire
South Kesteven District CouncilGrantham's Market Place has reopened after a "serious" fire broke out in a property above a takeaway, a council said.
Lincolnshire Police were called to the scene at 05:32 BST. Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS) said five appliances and an aerial ladder platform were on scene.
Access to both ends of the market place was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident, but it has since reopened.
South Kesteven District Council asked members of the public to avoid the area.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Newark fire station were sent to assist LFRS with the incident.
