Family fun at Easter events across Lincolnshire

A host of family friendly events are taking place throughout the Easter school holidays across Lincolnshire.

Activities range from dinosaur trails to arts and crafts and a seaside celebration.

Below are just a handful of free events to keep children entertained.

There is a chance to step back to the time of the dinosaurs in Lincoln.

The city's Cornhill Quarter is being transformed into Dino City from Friday 3 April to Sunday 19 April.

Organisers promise "exciting activities, interactive experiences, and fascinating dinosaurs for all ages".

There will be a chance to dig for fossils and follow a dinosaur trail across the city.

Love Cleethorpes is billed as "a springtime celebration of creativity, community and coastal pride".

The one-day event will feature live performances and activities, as well as a pop-up market.

It takes place on Saturday 28 March from 10:00 to 16:00 BST at various locations in the town centre.

Wyndham Park in Grantham is holding a several events over Easter.

On Saturday 4 April, a duck race takes place and there will be a chance to try the new skatepark with free skateboarding training available.

There will also be a climbing wall, pottery painting, and circus skills. The events start at 11:00 and runs until 15:00.

On Thursday 9 April, there will be an Easter trail featuring birds and their eggs as well as an Easter bonnet parade and craft activities at the visitors centre.

Easter craft mornings take place at Grantham Guildhall Arts Centre on Tuesday 14 April and at Stamford Arts Centre on Thursday 16 April.

They include a chance to craft butterflies, garlands and other Easter decorations as well as puppet shows.

Local makers will feature at a four-day craft market in Alford.

It will be held in the town's newly refurbished Corn Exchange.

As well as being able to buy handmade items, food and drinks will be served in the cafe.

The market is on between 3 and 6 April.

The Gainsborough shopping centre is holding a day of Easter events on Saturday 4 April.

They include free face painting, an egg hunt with prizes, and a chance to meet the Easter bunny.

The events run from 10:00 to 15:00.

Sleaford Market Place hosts an Easter garden on Saturday 4 April.

There will be crafts and games, including hula hoops, hopscotch and skipping, as well as a chance to take pictures next to a giant inflatable Easter egg.

There will also be an Easter egg trail featuring local shops.

It runs from 10:00 to 14:00.
