Thousands affected by water supply problems
Getty ImagesPart of western Lincolnshire has "very low water or no water at all" due to a problem at a treatment plant.
Anglian Water said about 3,000 of its customers in Grantham and the villages of Byard's Leap and Allington, as well as surrounding areas, have been affected.
A spokesperson said: "Our teams are still working hard to restore supplies for all customers following power related issues at our treatment works.
"The network is getting back to normal, and we know that some customers have had their supplies restored or have improved pressures."
They added: "We will continue throughout the night to deliver bottled water to affected customers and use tankers to inject water into the mains across the area.
"Our teams are working hard to restore normal service as quickly as possible."
School closure
Helen Hunt, head teacher of Caythorpe Primary School, said it had closed on Monday because it had no water.
"We checked all the toilets and water supply and we didn't have any supply to the school," she said.
"We had to inform all the parents that the school had shut due to health and safety and sanitation and hygiene issues."
Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group said it was experiencing low water pressure at Grantham and District Hospital, but the supply was still on.
Anglian Water said its website would be updated as the work progressed.
