Motorcyclist dies after crashing into lamp-post

A 50-year-old motorcyclist has died after crashing into a lamp-post.

Emergency services were called to Flaxley Road in Peterborough just after 14:30 BST on Friday.

The rider of the red Triumph Daytona, a man from Market Deeping, who was travelling north-west from the A605, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Cambridgeshire Police said no other vehicles were involved, and appealed for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
