Three men have been arrested after a cannabis farm was found in an abandoned pub.

Police were called to reports of a burglary in the derelict property on Dillotford Avenue, Coventry, which used to be The New Haven pub, at about 08:00 BST on Tuesday.

Officers found more than 100 cannabis plants, West Midlands Police confirmed.

The men, aged 40, 28 and 25, were arrested and taken into custody on suspicion of being concerned in the production of a controlled drug – Class B cannabis.

They have since been released on bail.

Two years ago, the pub which has been empty since 2022 was earmarked for demolition to make way for new apartments.
