A 53-year-old man has died after his motorbike collided with a tractor near Chatteris.

The biker, who was riding a yellow Yamaha motorbike, was travelling on the A142 from the Block Fen Drove roundabout towards Chatteris when his vehicle crashed with a tractor which was travelling in the opposite direction at about 20:11 BST on Tuesday.

Cambridgeshire Police said emergency services attended the scene but the biker, from March, died at the scene.

Police said the driver of the tractor, a 16-year-old man from Haddenham, was helping officers with their inquiries.

Debris from the collision struck another car, a Volkswagen Polo, but the driver was uninjured, police added.

The force said an investigation was launched and asked for anyone who witnessed the vehicles before the collision, or those with dashcam footage, to get in contact.
