Cyclist dies in crash with off-road vehicle

A cyclist has died after his bike was involved in a collision with an off-road vehicle near an East Yorkshire village.

Emergency services attended the crash near Full Sutton involving a man on a pedal cycle and a Polaris Ranger utility terrain vehicle (UTV) at about 18:00 BST on Thursday 2 April.

Officers said the 62-year-old cyclist was taken to hospital but died from his injuries a short time later.

Humberside Police are now appealing for witnesses to the crash, which happened at the junction of Gowthorpe Lane and Hatkill Lane, to get in touch with the force.
