Two days of repair works set for key commuter route
BBCMotorists have been warned to expect disruption on a busy commuter route leading to a key junction in the Isle of Man's capital for two days.
A section of Bray Hill in Douglas will have temporary traffic lights on Thursday and Friday while repairs are carried out at its upper junction with High View Road.
The road leads to Quarterbridge Roundabout – a major junction that sees traffic to and from the west and south of the island merge with vehicles using the A2.
The Department of Infrastructure said the closure was to allow patching works on the road across the top entrance to High View Road, which joins Bray Hill, with work expected to be completed within two days.
Access to that road for all vehicles – including those heading for Highcroft Avenue and Terence Avenue – will only be possible from the lower entrance opposite Malvern Road throughout the works.
However, access for pedestrians will be maintained, it added.
