Elderly knitters' tiny hats for premature babies
HC OneResidents at a care home have been knitting tiny hats and a blanket for premature babies.
Coopers Croft care home in Stoke-on-Trent said kindness and community spirit were "on full display" amongst residents.
The group, known as Purls of Wisdom, have created 34 little hats and a blanket for little ones born at the Royal Stoke University Hospital.
They offer "a heartfelt reminder that their community is thinking of them," according to the home, which said the knitting project had helped bring residents together.
HC One"Our residents have put so much love and care into every single hat and the blanket," said lifestyle manager Anita Rawlingson.
"The Purls of Wisdom group really enjoy spending time together knitting and chatting, and being able to use their skills to help premature babies in our local hospital makes it even more special."
