Two seriously injured as car hits tree

Two people were seriously injured when their car left the road and hit a tree in Gillingham, police say.

The crash involving a black Skoda Yeti happened shortly after 03:00 GMT on Deanwood Drive.

The driver, a woman in her 20s, and her teenage passenger were taken to hospital in London for treatment.

Officers from Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are urging anyone who saw what happened, or who might have dashcam footage, to contact them.
