Arrest after car carrying toddler overturns

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving following a crash involving a one-year-old toddler which saw the vehicle end up on its roof.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash in Maw Green Road in Crewe on Sunday afternoon and the child was not seriously hurt, Cheshire Police said.

Safeguarding measures were taken and appropriate referrals were made, the force said.

The 29-year-old woman was arrested at the scene, they added.
