Troy Green has been jailed after he recorded and photographed 465 people using public toilets

A man has been jailed after he recorded and photographed 465 people using public toilets in Birmingham and Solihull.

Troy Green, 22, of Vicarage Road, Soho, Birmingham, was arrested in August and devices recovered from his address by police contained 528 video clips and images of his victims.

All of his victims were filmed without their knowledge in public toilets, while two of them were identified as children.

Green was jailed for 22 months, placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years and is to be subject to sexual harm prevention order for the same period.

He pleaded guilty to four charges relating to voyeurism and making indecent photographs of children before his appearance at Birmingham Crown Court on 15 April.

During a number of interviews with West Midlands Police, Green claimed that he had an addiction to vaping that was frowned upon by his family, which he said was his reason for using public toilets so frequently.

Det Con Stephen Dunford from West Midlands Police said: "Across numerous interviews Green continued to deny the offences despite overwhelming evidence, eventually only accepting responsibility in light of further evidence.

"We take offences like this extremely seriously and would always encourage people to report suspicious behaviour like this as it is can sometimes be an indicator of more serious offending."
