Pedestrian seriously injured after A140 collision

A pedestrian has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car, police have said.

Emergency services were called to the A140 at Stuston, north of Brome, just before 08:00 BST.

Suffolk Police said road closures were in place at the A140/A143 roundabout and the B1077 junction, affecting traffic in both directions.

It warned the road would be shut for some time and advised drivers to avoid the area.
