Arrest after M6 toll crash leaves man injured
GoogleA man has been arrested after a crash on the M6 Toll in Staffordshire left a man seriously injured.
Staffordshire Police said it happened at about 06:00 BST on Friday on the northbound carriageway between junctions T6 and T7, just before the Norton Canes services.
The force said a black Peugeot Partner van was involved. A 30 year-old passenger sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains.
A 23-year-old man from Belgium was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and has since been released on bail.
The force is appealing for anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward, as well as witnesses who saw the Belgian-registered van in the lead up to the collision.
"We are asking that people do not speculate on social media as to the circumstances of the collision," it added.
