Former music venue to become offices
GoogleA former members club and music venue could be turned into offices for a local construction firm after it closed in January.
The Ryshworth Club in Crossflats, Bradford, was a working men's club, with bar and live music nights, which shut down in January 2026.
It was listed for sale with a guide price of £300,000 earlier this year and now local firm Torus Construction Group has submitted a planning application to turn the building into offices.
Located on Keighley Road, the Ryshworth Club was built in 1927. Recently it hosted music nights with Rumble Events Bingley, featuring local bands such as Tiger Island, Dan's Girlfriend and The Wind-Up Birds.
Writing on social media in January, the club's management said: "Thank you again for the memories, the celebrations and the friendships — they will always be cherished."
Torus Construction Group is a local building contractor that works with educational and cultural organisations across Bradford.
According to the planning application it bought the Ryshworth Club to create larger offices for 18 employees, provide better facilities for their growing workforce and create a dedicated workshop.
It said: "They have outgrown their premises in Bingley and are keen to stay local to help retain their local workforce, and create further employment."
