Three further arrests in crash murder inquiry
BBCThree more arrests have been made in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash in Doncaster city centre.
South Yorkshire Police attended Prince's Street at about 20:30 BST on Friday after reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a silver Hyundai. The pedestrian, a 26-year-old man, later died in hospital.
On Saturday, officers arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of murder and two men aged 55 and 40 on suspicion of assisting offenders.
The force previously arrested two men, aged 30 and 22, on suspicion of murder, and a 20-year-old man, a 38-year-old woman and a 24-year-old woman on suspicion of assisting offenders.
Four of the five previously arrested people have since been bailed pending further investigations, officers said.
The 22-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder remains in police custody.
Officers continued to appeal for witnesses and those with dashcam footage of the scene to come forward.
