Animatronic dinosaurs and a fossil-hunting pit will feature in a fortnight of prehistoric-themed activities in Lincoln.

Organised by the Lincoln Business Improvement Group, the Dino City event takes place across the city's Cornhill Quarter.

The event also includes a window display trail and will run across the Easter holidays until 18 April.

The event organisers state on their website: "Dino City transforms the city centre into a Jurassic adventure."

Businesses across the city will be taking part, with activities including bath bomb making workshops, as well as games, films and dinosaur themed meals.

As well as the main attractions at Cornhill, there will be additional activity at other locations in the city, including Meet Pete the T-Rex at Waterside Shopping Centre, on 8 and 15 April between 10:00 and 14:00 BST.
