A 93-year-old woman has been injured in a violent robbery in the West Midlands.

She was left with facial injuries after being attacked on Trinity Way, Shirley, at about 15:20 GMT on Friday.

"We received reports that a man attacked the woman on Trinity Way before her mobility trolley was stolen," said West Midlands Police.

Officers who are investigating the robbery have released a CCTV image of a man on a bicycle they wish to speak to. He is described as white and of stocky build.

"The bike was spotted around Stratford Road and Park Gate about the time of the robbery, and we need help identifying him," a force spokesperson said.

Anyone who has dashcam footage or CCTV footage has been asked to call police on 101.
