Major rail disruption after person hit by train
Shariqua Ahmed/BBCRail services between London and Peterborough have been cancelled or delayed after a person was hit by a train.
Disruption on the East Coast Main Line, including on LNER services, was expected until 12:00 BST, Network Rail said.
Rail replacement buses are being organised in some areas by LNER, Great Northern and Thameslink.
Passengers have also been urged to check if their ticket can be used on other services.
The affected routes are:
- Grand Central between London King's Cross and Bradford Interchange/Sunderland
- Great Northern between London King's Cross and Peterborough
- Hull Trains between London King's Cross and Hull/Beverley
- LNER between London King's Cross and Lincoln/Doncaster/Bradford Forster Square/Skipton/Leeds/Harrogate/York/Middlesbrough/Newcastle/Berwick-upon-Tweed/Edinburgh/Aberdeen
- Lumo between London King's Cross and Newcastle/Edinburgh
- Thameslink between Horsham/London King's Cross and Peterborough
Rail replacement buses are being organised by LNER between London King's Cross and Bedford and Peterborough.
Great Northern and Thameslink have requested replacement buses between Hitchin and Peterborough.
Passengers can also check the Network Rail or train service website to find if their tickets are eligible for use on alternate routes.
