City's archives to reopen amid £5m museum revamp

The service is due to reopen in May as work continues at the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery.

Rebuild of military museum complete

Internal works at The Light in Durham can now begin ahead of its reopening in the summer.

A set of gates painted in rainbow colours are open in the foreground. Beyond them there is a car park with various vehicles in it. The museum, which shut last year, will now open on Wednesdays until August, with hopes to extend.

Culture venues get £8m cash boost to secure future

The money is part of the government's £1.5bn Arts Everywhere Fund.
