Wall Street opens higher despite doubts over the Iran war
US shares have opened higher despite ongoing doubts about the war in the Middle East, as the end of a ceasefire between Iran and the US ticks towards expiry on Wednesday. Iran has yet to agree to join peace talks in Pakistan. Michael Landsberg, Chief Investment Officer of Landsberg Bennett Private Wealth Management in Florida, explains the higher opening, saying investors are focusing on positive corporate earnings. He also thinks that it will be tough for President Trump's nominee to head the Federal Reserve, Kevin Warsh, to lower rates given the current inflation data.
