'My heart is about to explode': BTS fans react as world tour begins

K-pop stars BTS have kicked off their world tour in Goyang, South Korea, after a nearly four-year hiatus, promoting their new album Arirang.

The tour will bring the band to more than 30 cities across five continents over the next year.

Fans outside Goyang Stadium shared their excitement for watching the band perform for the first time since 2022.

"It's like a dream," one fan said, while another added that the wait was paid off with a "great album".

BTS took a break in 2022 for mandatory military service, also using the time for solo projects.
