Moston stabbing: Boy, 13, released without charge
Ashley StocksA 13-year-old boy arrested over the stabbing of another teenager will face no further action.
The victim, 15, from Manchester, remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
He was found unconscious at 19:10 BST on Tuesday on Worsley Avenue, Moston, Manchester.
Police said a knife had been recovered but it was too early to speculate on the motive. There was no evidence to suggest it was gang-related.
The 13-year-old was arrested on suspicion of wounding but has since been eliminated from inquiries, Greater Manchester Police confirmed.
Ashley StocksCh Supt Wasim Chaudhry said the victim was in a "very serious condition" and "he continues to fight for his life".
He added there would be extra patrols in the area to reassure the public and to support the investigation.
Parish priest Martin Saunders, of St Dunstan's Church, Moston, said he was "very upset and shocked" by the stabbing.
