Ban on motorhomes in tourist hotspots dividing van owners and locals

A ban in two North Yorkshire coastal spots is made permanent after an 18-month trial.

The council says the number of motorhomes parked overnight has reached an "unacceptable level".

Motorhomes are banned from parking overnight in three areas of the North Yorkshire coast.

Councillors previously rejected the developer's plans for housing at the site in 2019.

Six holiday lets will also be created at Killerby Old Hall, near Cayton Bay beach.
