A man has been charged over the incident on Dunkeld Road in Perth

A 28-year-old man has been charged in connection with the attempted murder of a woman in Perth.

The man was previously arrested over the incident on Dunkeld Road at about 14:45 on Monday.

Emergency crews attended and the woman was taken to hospital while part of the road was closed during an initial investigation.

The man is due to appear at Perth Sheriff Court later.
