Police probe unexplained death of five-month-old baby

Police are investigating the unexplained death of a five-month-old baby boy in Grangemouth.

Officers were alerted that the boy had taken unwell at a property on Haig Street on Saturday evening.

The baby was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital where he later died.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "The death is being treated as unexplained and inquiries are ongoing. A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal."
