About 100 homes were left without power following a fire in a village.

Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to reports that a garage fire had spread to a house in Station Road, Cogenhoe, at 04:30 BST.

Station Road was closed at the junction with Glebe Road, it added.

People were advised not to open windows and doors due to large plumes of smoke.

National Grid said power was resumed at about 10:05.
