A fire has damaged part of the premises of a coach company near Rogart in Sutherland.

Six fire engines and specialist resources were sent to the blaze at Macleod's Coaches headquarters at about 17:55 on Thursday.

Firefighters spent more than eight hours tackling the blaze and returned at about 07:55 on Friday to check for hot spots. Crews have now left the scene.

Police Scotland said no-one was injured and the fire was not being treated as deliberate. Macleod's Coaches said its business remained operational.

On its social media, the company said a serious fire had broken out at its premises, and it thanked emergency services for their swift response.

The firm said all scheduled services would be running as normal and customers' journeys were its priority.
