Cyclist dies after collision near railway station

A cyclist has died following a crash at a crossroads near Northampton town centre, police said.

Northamptonshire Police said it was called to Black Lion Hill at 05:45 BST after a collision between a male cyclist, a driver of a grey Ford Ranger and a driver of a white Iveco lorry.

The cyclist, aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital but died a short time later, police said.

Road closures that were in place on Marefair, St Andrew's Road and St Peter's Way have now been lifted.
