Tributes have been paid to a "devoted and loving" mother who was found dead near the A1.

Police launched a murder investigation after the body of Orinta Narbutaite, 32, was found in Main Street in Milton, Nottinghamshire, at 03:12 GMT on 20 March.

Donatas Noreika, 37, of Main Street, Milton, and Arturas Karvelis, 45, of Broad Street, Parkgate, Rotherham - who is also known as Arturas Bockus - were charged with conspiring to prevent the lawful and decent burial of a body.

Noreika and Karvelis have been remanded into custody and are next due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 20 April.

'Difficult time'

In a statement released by Nottinghamshire Police, Narbutaite's family described her as a "cherished member of our community whose kindness, dignity and warmth left a lasting impression on all who knew her".

"Orinta will be remembered not only for her compassionate nature and quiet strength, but also for the genuine care and respect she showed to others," the statement added.

"She had a remarkable ability to offer comfort and support, and her presence brought a sense of calm and reassurance to those around her.

"Above all, Orinta was a devoted and loving mother to her daughter, whom she cherished deeply. Her love, guidance, and dedication as a parent will remain a lasting part of her legacy.

"Orinta Narbutaite will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her."

Det Insp Matt Scott, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "Our thoughts remain with Orinta's family and friends, who have asked for privacy at what must be an extremely difficult time.
