Police treat Annan man's death as 'unexplained'

Police have said the death of a man in a south of Scotland town is being treated as "unexplained" but it is not believed to be suspicious.

Emergency services were called to a report of concern for a man on Newington Road in Annan at about 12:50.

He was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary but died a short time later.

Officers said his family were aware and a report would be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
