Van driver dies in crash on A86

A man has died following a van crash in the Highands.

The crash, involving a Ford Transit van, happened on the A86 between Laggan and Kinlochlaggan at about 12:50 on Saturday.

Police said the van driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been made aware but formal identification is still to be carried out.

Sgt Kate Finlayson, of Police Scotland, said: "I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dashcam footage from around this time on the A86 and has not yet spoken to, or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible."

The road was closed for eight hours.
