A 16-year-old boy who died after he was hit by a car while riding his bike was a "beacon of joy and compassion", his family said.

Miracle Oladoyinbo, from Grangetown, Cardiff, was at the junction of Penarth Road and Clare Road when he was involved in a crash with a SsangYong Tivoli at about 12:27 GMT on 25 March.

South Wales Police said the investigation was continuing and appealed for witnesses to contact the force.

The teenager's family said despite his life being "tragically cut short", his "kind heart and the strength of his testimony will resonate forever in the hearts of the family and community who loved him so dearly".

Following the crash, the force said it was aware footage of the crash had been shared on Facebook and other social media, which it advised against.

Police urged anyone travelling through the area at the time to check dashcams and private CCTV for relevant footage.

In a statement, Miracle's family said he was "defined by a profound love for God and an unwavering commitment to his faith".

They said he knowing him was "to be touched by his warmth and inspired by his grace".

"A gifted musician, he didn't just play music, he used his talents as a ministry to uplift spirits and bring comfort to everyone around him," the family added.
