Pensioner hit by van remains in critical condition

A pensioner who was hit by a van while out walking his dog remains in a critical condition in hospital, police have said.

The crash, involving a white VW panel van, happened at about 08:10 GMT on Sunday, 21 December, in Leybourne Way, Larkfield, at the junction with Gighill Road, the Kent force said.

The driver stopped and the pedestrian, aged in his 80s, was taken to hospital. The dog was treated for injuries but is recovering at home.

A police spokesperson said anyone who saw anything or may have footage of the incident should get in touch.
