Four people, including two teenage boys, have been arrested on suspicion of kidnap.

Emergency services were called to an address in Hawks Town Crescent, Hailsham, following a report of threats to kill being made at about 21:25 GMT on Saturday.

A 16-year-old boy sustained minor facial injuries in the incident, Sussex Police said.

A pair of 16-year-old boys, along with two men aged 18 and 21, were arrested on suspicion of kidnap and have been bailed, pending further inquiries.

One of the 16-year-old boys was also arrested for possession of a Class B drug.

Det Insp Daniel Dugan said: "We are pursuing multiple lines of enquiry in connection with the incident.

"There will be an increased police presence in the area, as well as in the vicinity of Bailee Avenue in Eastbourne, whilst the investigation continues.

"I'd like to reassure the public that there is no wider risk to the community."
