Arrest after motorcyclist dies in crash with car

A man has been arrested after a motorcyclist died following a crash with a car.

Cambridgeshire Police said the collision happened at the A1303 junction with Bell Road in Bottisham, at about 16:45 BST on Thursday.

Emergency services attended but a 62-year-old man, from Newmarket in Suffolk, who was riding a silver Honda motorbike, died at the scene.

A 36-year-old man from Stevenage in Hertfordshire, who was driving a white Kia EV4, was taken to hospital as a precaution and was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. He has since been bailed pending further inquiries.

The force has appealed for anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to get in touch.
