Assynt Mountain Rescue TeamBen Dyson, a volunteer with the Assynt team, said he was not sure how pleased the dog was to see them.
"I don't think she was keen on the idea of being rescued," he said.
"We managed to persuade her with some dog biscuits and the owner had provided us with a whistle, which she responded to.
"After a bit of coaxing I managed to get a sling around her and we got her to safety."
Scottish mountain rescue teams have seen a rise in incidents.
In 2025, Scottish Mountain Rescue member teams responded to a record-breaking 1,270 call-outs including "continuations" – linked call-outs that take place over several days.
The teams helped 901 people last year.
