Three men in court after £1.8m of drugs seized

Three men have appeared in court following the seizure of drugs worth £1.8m in Aberdeen.

Police said cannabis cultivations were found inside properties on Elmbank Terrace, Bothwell Road and Broomhill Road on Wednesday. A five-figure sum of money was also recovered.

Xhevair Aliaj, 30, and Drini Vilaj, 31, both of no fixed abode, faced charges under the misuse of drugs act when they appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court. They made no plea and were remanded in custody.

Indrit Thanasi, 43, of Aberdeen also made no plea and was released on bail.
