Man arrested for exposing himself to teenage girl

A man has been arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure after showing his genitals to a 14-year-old girl.

Gloucestershire Constabulary said the incident happened on Folly Lane in Stroud between 18:45 and 19:00 BST on 7 April.

The man began to follow the girl down the lane but stopped and turned around when he saw another man approaching. He then fled the scene in a black Peugeot.

A witness was able to take a photograph of the car registration plate and officers traced the vehicle to a 22-year-old man living in Gloucester. They arrested him on 12 April and he has since been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Investigating officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have dashcam or doorbell footage, to get in touch.
