Third attempted murder arrest after stabbing
Jamie Niblock/BBCA third person has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing which left a man with life-threatening injuries.
Suffolk Police was called to Mortimer Road in Bury St Edmunds at about 22:15 GMT on 22 March after a man in his 40s was found seriously injured. He is now in a stable condition.
The force said five suspects wearing dark clothing and face coverings were reported to have fled the scene in the Moreton Hall area.
On Thursday, a 46-year-old man from Lewisham, south-east London, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
A 44-year-old man from Brixton, south London, had already been detained on suspicion of attempted murder, but was rearrested for the same offence earlier on Friday.
Both men are in custody in London and will be transported back to Suffolk for questioning, Suffolk Police says.
A third suspect, aged 38, was arrested in Bury St Edmunds for the same offence and was released on bail.
Jamie Niblock/BBCThe force said it continued to progress numerous lines of inquiry and recently seized three vehicles suspected to have been used by the alleged offenders.
These were a black Nissan Note, a beige or light-coloured Nissan Note, and a black Nissan Micra.
A police spokesperson said: "Detectives are appealing for anyone who believes they saw any vehicles matching these descriptions in the vicinity of Mortimer Road on the night of Sunday 22 March, and this includes anyone driving in the area that may have dash camera footage."
