Crash shuts M1 near Luton Airport

The M1 is shut southbound after a serious crash near Luton Airport.

National Highways reported the road had been shut between junctions 10 and 11 at about 07:45 BST.

The collision involved a car and motorbike, reports traffic information provider Inrix. Police and ambulance services are at the scene.

Drivers have been warned of 30-minute delays and diversions are in place.

Motorists are being diverted off the M1 to the A505 onto the A5 through Dunstable.
