New bus service to be launched for summer

A new evening bus service in will run between Lyme Regis and Bridport throughout the summer.

The LB1 service will start on 1 May, running every Friday and Saturday until 26 September.

Lyme Regis Town Council said it would support the service, which it said "will bring huge benefits to all the towns and villages on the route".

West Dorset Commons and First Bus will work with the town council to deliver it.

The service will start at Bridport bus station at 18:15 BST and the last bus will leave Lyme Regis at 23:00, stopping at Chideock, Morecombelake and Charmouth, according to the town council.
