A total of nine teenagers have now been charged with murder over the fatal stabbing of an 18-year-old outside a mosque in Smethwick.

Zeshan Afzal was found with serious injuries following an incident on Oldbury Road on 20 February. He died from his wounds shortly afterwards.

Following another round of changes, West Midlands Police said two teenagers, aged 14 and 17, appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Monday accused of murder.

The force added it was continuing to appeal for information and urged anyone with information who had not yet spoken to officers to do so.
