Cordon lifted after report of suspicious package
GoogleA cordon has been lifted after police were called to a report of a suspicious package at a park in Nottingham.
Nottinghamshire Police said it was called to Sunninghill Park, in Sunninghill Drive, Clifton, at 11:51 BST on Saturday.
Officers said an explosive ordnance disposal unit attended as a precaution and a cordon was put in place.
The force later on Saturday afternoon confirmed it had made the item safe and the cordon had been lifted.
Police thanked residents for their "patience and understanding while work was carried out to bring the incident to a safe conclusion".
