A recycling centre that has been closed for four months is set to reopen this week.

The site in Yonder Slade, Buckingham, was shut on 1 December for drainage work.

The project has been completed on schedule, Buckinghamshire Council said.

It is due to reopen at 09:00 GMT on Thursday.

The site has been closed for several months

During the closure, some residents had additional waste collections from home, and people living near Milton Keynes were able to use sites at Bleak Hall and New Bradwell by appointment.

This will remain in place until Tuesday 31 March.

Ade Osibogun, the council's Conservative cabinet member for environment, climate change and waste, said: "The site will operate in exactly the same way as previously and we look forward to welcoming back our customers from Thursday.

"Given that we've been closed for some weeks, we could see the site busier than usual, so I'd advise you to check the webcam for up-to date info on queues and how busy the site is."
