Three men have appeared in court to deny charges relating to an attack on two elderly Sikh men outside a city railway station.

The injured pair, a man in his 60s and a man in his 70s, were taken to hospital following the attack outside Wolverhampton station on 15 August last year, British Transport Police said.

Zackery Hall, 20, from Dudley, Nathan Edwards, 25, from Darlaston and Leon Willetts, 18, from Rowley Regis, are each charged with causing grievous bodily harm. Hall has also been charged with a racially aggravated public order offence, and three further public order offences.

They appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court where they pleaded not guilty to all charges against them.

Edwards is also charged with causing actual bodily harm, two public order offences, criminal damage and resisting arrest.

Willets is also charged with resisting arrest.

All three remain on bail until their next court appearance.

A trial has been set for 10 September 2029.
