Police have appealed for witnesses after a man was injured in a "large fight" outside a pub in Derbyshire.

The confrontation took place outside the Sportsman Pub on Derby Road, Long Eaton, just before 00.30 GMT on 1 March.

A man in his 30s was left with injuries to his chest, police said, but did not release any further details.

A woman in her 20s from Ilkeston, who was arrested on suspicion of assault, has been released.

Officers have asked anyone who witnessed the fight to come forward.
