Five charged with murder after city centre assault

Five people have been charged with murder after a man died following a serious assault in Hull.

Emergency services were called to Queen Victoria Square at about 03:45 BST on Sunday.

Martin Chadburn, a former veteran and an employee of Hull 4 Heroes, was taken to hospital with a life-threatening head injury and died on Tuesday morning, Humberside Police said.

Three women and two men are due to appear in court later.

They are:

  • Britney Naylor, 20, of Dibsdane, Hull
  • Bethany Naylor, 20, of Deerhurst Grove, Hull
  • Shaytiya Farrow, 21, of Peter Street, Blackpool
  • Lukasz Matusiak, 27, of Needlers Way, Hull
  • Kristjan Suits, 34, of Queens Road, Hull
