Organisers have announced the line-up for this year's Youth Beatz festival, with Example and The Vamps featuring in the headline slots for the Dumfries event.

Caity Baser, Hypaton and Levi Heron are among 70 musicians who will perform across four stages on 27 and 28 June.

The event - billed as Scotland's largest free musical festival - is targeted at music fans aged 12 to 25 with about 40,000 tickets allocated in 2025.

The festival, which began in 2009, also features a drama production looking at some of the key issues affecting young people, alongside a fringe festival, featuring seven days of localised events across Dumfries and Galloway.

An evaluation report into the 2025 festival by Dumfries and Galloway Council found the event contributed more than £1m to the local economy.

Entry to the festival requires a free ticket, with all 40,000 tickets allocated within four hours of the event being launched last year.
