Firefighters are continuing to tackle a wildfire near a reservoir in the Peak District.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said five crews were sent to the blaze off the Woodhead Pass at Woodhead Reservoir, near Glossop in Derbyshire, on Wednesday evening.

People have been advised to avoid the area while emergency services deal with the fire, and residents nearby have been asked to keep windows and doors closed if they see or smell smoke.

The fire service thanked people for the calls received about the fire.
